I thought I'd post a tiny story I wrote for the SEXY STORIES blog that was just posted today.

Amazon's 70 % royalty option---Hooooraaaay!!!

I heard a whisper of this last week when the announcement was made but I only just read the details today. And what do you know-- I totally qualify to have my stuff on their 70% royalty option-- how cool is that?? ( The current rate is 35%)

There are all these new ebook reading platforms coming out-- bn nook, sony, apple's tablet, and multiple others. But to my untrained eye, it seems that Amazon is the only one with a system in place to attract authors. Or, as I like to dramatically think about it: a system that sets out to destroy the literary industrial complex (I borrowed that term from Stephen Windwalker- thanx!).

What good is a cool new gadget if they have no selection? Example: Iphone. There are a ton of smart phones out there, but part of the maniacal love people have for their iphones is the 100,000 apps that are available for download. Turning their iphone into a way of life. (Do I really need to do the disclaimer-- you've figured out I own an iphone, right?).

Is attracting the authors like apple attracting the developers to only publish apps for them? Are all the cool apps (authors) going to be on Kindle? If that's the case, Amazon is going to kickbutt and remain king. That may change.

But until a more direct, less pull-my-hair-from-my-head method of traditional publishing appears out of thin air, publishing on DTP/Amazon is the only way for me.

Oh yeah, and I totally had to masturbate after writing today. He he.

Just stuff

No official announcement. Just thought I'd stop by to chat. So I'm actually committing to completing a full story--probably novella length but maybe longer. 35k words. I still have others percolating and coming out in bits and spurts- vampire-lexi, naked slumber party. I think that title might have to be in an anthology. I mean, it's just asking for spinoffs for variations, right. You can't really go wrong with a slumber party backdrop for writing erotica.

So for my novella story, I was trying to think of a better title than erotic stalking which I've been using as my working title so far. So far the only thing I can stick to is Erotic Target. I say this with a grain of salt, of course. I find it so annoying to read a great story that was marketed with a cheesy title. Especially for genre and mass market books. I think Harlequin has right the way they title theirs. You know what you're getting, you don't have to think about it-- you just buy it.

Of course, you don't want your ebook to be named 'book' or 'ebook' but you get the drift. Straightforward and stylish, in that order. Just my 2 cents.

NAKED Hairdresser done-yea!

It was a one-day-er. I usually can't get a story done that fast but it was in my head for a week before that--all visualized out. I just wrote what I saw in my head. Doesn't happen this way often, but it's great when it does. Woohoo!

Hello all

It has been forever, hasn't it? Sorry about that. Totally my fault (as if it could be yours??).

Anyway, I wanted to update everyone on the new stories on the SEXY STORIES Kindle Blog that have been published. I just put one up today: Sexual Favors. Then we have The Sleepover by Sam Williams, Pulling over a Slut by Sid Whiskey, and Highway Fuck by Trixie Tale. These are all good stories. The beauty of the blog is that it's a great format for 'flash fiction' - stuff that could only be published in anthologies before can easily go up as a blog post. Maybe after I've written a bunch of the little stories, I'll publish some of them (not all--we need some exclusivity to the blog, after all) in an anthology.

As far as writing goes, I find myself having to tackle the age old issues of, you know, character, plot, pacing, etc as I work on longer stuff-- particularly Naked Vampire stories.

Having said that, I think I'm going to start Naked hairdresser today. That will be more of my usual-- an encounter more than a story. Much easier and more fun to write bc they are mostly about the sex. And what's not fun about writing that. :)

Couple observations

First observation-- I was going to type a web address into the adrs bar and had the first letter "p" typed when the two choices popped under below. They were Pandora.com and Pornhub.com . I thought it was pretty indicative of my life, really. Porn and playlists. Hey, maybe that should be a title.
